Every year, our community comes together for a new election day. From Preschool through High School, students participate in activities designed to understand and experience this democratic process.
More than choosing representatives, we seek to help our students understand the value of participating, listening, proposing, and serving others.

A Democratic Process with Clear Rules
The Electoral Council is the highest authority that regulates the student government’s electoral processes at Gimnasio La Montaña. It is an autonomous body that operates according to democratic principles and the Community Handbook, as set out in the Electoral Statute.

It receives guidance from the Social Studies Department. Its members are students and serve for one school year; members of the Electoral Council may not participate in student government or electoral campaigns.
